JoAnne

JoAnne works with the Graduate Coaches and writing experts at Inspira to help candidates realize their true potential. While an MBA student at Stanford, JoAnne became fascinated by admissions, writing a lengthy profile featuring the director as well as a humor piece that likened the admissions process to a poker game. (Little did she guess how accurate that was!) A few forks in the road later, JoAnne found herself back at Stanford in a fantasy job, working in MBA admissions. Over five years, she reviewed about 10,000 applications. JoAnne loved making so many "flat friends," but often wished she could have talked to them before they hit the Submit button.

She left that job for an executive director role, but realized she missed admissions and became an admissions consultant. Since then, JoAnne has helped hundreds of clients obtain admission to their dream schools, deriving great pleasure from guiding people through the process, watching them gain confidence and grow along the way.

She lives within walking distance of the beautiful Stanford campus, is married and the mother of four humans, three dogs, and a cat. When she is not working with clients JoAnne is involved with soccer -- she helps run the local youth league -- and is also into photography, knitting, and writing/producing indie films.
